The canvas business model consists of 2 elements, the front side and the back side. If you don't know about this concept, please check out my 3 minute video business model of my canvas to better understand our next discussion.
On the front side there are value propositions, customer segments, channels, customer relationships, and revenue streams. On the back side are the key partners, key activities, key resources, and cost structures.
Your customer segments can include students, university students, office employees, public transportation drivers, certain communities such as based on religion or ethnicity or sports community, family, and others.
The value propositions offered are, of course, in the form of food and drinks, as well as the number of tables and chairs, prices, length of service or cooking time, play areas for children, and others.
Channels can be sales at restaurant locations, online, or social media.
Your customer relationships include feedback from customers, membership / loyalty programs, brochures, etc.
Revenue streams can be generated from food and beverage sales, additional sales of other dishes, birthday or office events, membership programs, and so on.
On the back side, key resources, for example the location of your restaurant or cafe, reliable cooks and reliable waiters, sources of funds, can also be a special recipe belonging to your restaurant.
Key activities include speed of service, cleaning and comfort of your restaurant or cafe, good quality of raw materials, and trained employees.
Your key partners may include suppliers of raw materials, companies such as motorbikes or grabs, event organizers, and offices.
Cost structures, usually such as employee salaries and your salary, raw material costs, commission for partners, and other components of the three elements above .
